Bubble Tanks Tower Defence - Gameplay Mechanics

Bubble Tanks Tower Defence is a highly addictive web-based tower defence game. The object of the game is simple: prevent the enemies from reaching their desired destination by building towers that slow down or destroy them. The game is easy to pickup and play, but maddeningly difficult to master.

Each game is played on a fixed size map with at least one enemy entrance and at least one enemy target destination. In early levels, the player is free to place their towers in virtually any location on the map, but as the difficulty level increases, the player is more limited in their tower placement locations. The key to the game is placing the towers in such a way that the route of the enemies is as long and damaging as possible.

Getting pwned by the enemies
There are four different categories of towers available to the player, and there are six different types of enemies the player will face. Each enemy type is more vulnerable to certain towers categories than others, so the player must experiment with different combinations to build the most effective defence. As more enemies are destroyed, the player is awarded with additional bubble resources that allow towers to be upgraded to more powerful versions. Every level ends once the last wave of enemies is successfully defended against (or if too many enemies breach the defences, the player loses).

Bubble Tanks Tower Defence gives the user a lot of freedom to play the game. There are multiple strategies that can be used effectively, giving the game a high replay value. The harder levels can be extremely challenging and may even seem impossible at first glance, but eventually a winning strategy can be discovered, and I think this is what gives this game it's addictive quality. So excuse me while I get back to playing...
